With almost 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Leo Denslow joined HEI Civil in 2016 as Vice President of Business Development. In this role, he was instrumental in the establishment of MCG Civil in 2018 and led the acquisitions of Peabody General Contractors in Austin, TX, and Horsepower Site Services in Charlotte, NC
Now serving as Chief Executive Officer of HEI Civil, Leo continues to drive the company’s growth and evolution. Under his leadership, HEI Civil successfully unified its brands, rebranding both Peabody General Contractors and Horsepower Site Services under the HEI Civil name. Leo’s business acumen and formal leadership training keep the company focused on continual improvement, operational excellence, and expanding its impact across the industry.
As a proud graduate of Ferris State University’s Construction Management Bachelor’s program, Leo gained experience in most types of construction, from residential homebuilding to underwater marine construction and everything in between. Always looking to challenge himself, Leo went on to secure a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business in 2008 and apply his studies in business operations in construction. He excels at simplifying complexity, communicating effectively, and removing obstacles to enhance performance.
When Leo isn’t at work, he can be found spending time with his two daughters and dogs, both on and off the golf course.
