Laurie Morgan began her career with HEI Civil in 2011 as a part-time payroll professional. Over the years, her role steadily evolved—from building the Human Resources function as HR Manager to Executive Vice President of Human Resources and now Chief People Officer. In her early years, the company grew from 45 to 280 employees in just five years, and Laurie played a critical role in supporting and scaling that growth.

Today, she leads the HR team across all divisions, overseeing recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent; employee training and development; policy creation; and employee relations. Under her leadership and in close partnership with the broader team, HEI Civil has grown to three divisions across three locations with more than 800 employees.

In 2023, Laurie was appointed Chair of the Owners Council and serves as the management representative on the Compensation and Human Capital Committee for the HEI Civil Board of Directors—helping to shape the company’s long-term strategy and culture.

Laurie is a proud graduate of Colorado State University, holds a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She and her husband have raised three boys, now grown and starting families of their own. Outside of work, Laurie enjoys the outdoors and cherishes time with her husband, adult children, and their loyal black lab.
