Water main replacement and roadway reconstruction in a busy mixed-use corridor

Located in Denver, CO, the 73rd Avenue Improvements project involved replacing 4,345 LF of aging waterline with a new 8-inch PVC water main to enhance potable water distribution. Despite the challenges of a busy mixed-use corridor, the project was completed on time with phased detours, full roadway reconstruction, and uninterrupted access for local businesses and residents.

This project replaced an outdated 6-inch cast-iron waterline with a modern 8-inch PVC water main, improving water distribution in a busy urban corridor. Through close collaboration with the District, businesses, and residents, the team navigated unexpected utility challenges, maintained access, and delivered the project on schedule, resulting in complete roadway restoration.
